The Thrill Of The Hunt
Buying at auction is an exciting process! If you’re an auction veteran, you probably know the drill. If you’re new – welcome! Take a look at the brief buying process below, and let us know if you have any questions before bidding.
Once you’re ready to get started bidding, use the link below to view our current auctions.
Register
In order to bid in any of our online auctions, you will need to create an account with us. Doing so is easy and takes less than 5 minutes. To start, click on the link below to go to our online auction site. At the top right hand corner, click on the “Register” tab. On the registration page, enter your information and follow the prompts to create your account. You’ll be bidding in no time! Don’t forget to read the terms of each auction, and note things like the pick up time and location.
*If you are registering for the first time in order to bid in a particular auction – we strongly recommend creating your account by the morning of the day the auction is scheduled to close. Get logged in and get familiar with the system, so that if you have any questions, you can reach out to our team before that item sells to someone else!
Preview
Whenever possible, we make in-person preview available to all of our bidders. This is so they can get a better understanding of each item they have interest in, and feel confident in bidding. Check the “Dates and Times” tab of each auction for the preview times. Certain auctions will be preview by appointment only.
Closing
It’s a great idea to bid while the auction is ending, as you will be able to increase your bid in real time as the auction progresses and items extend due to the “soft close” feature. The “soft close” feature extends the time of an item by 3 minutes, if the item receives a bid within 3 minutes of the scheduled end time. Be sure you are on the “Live” view – which constantly refreshes all of the data on the page. If you are busy during the time the auction is closing, use the “max bid” feature by placing a bid of the most you are willing to pay for that item. The auction software will automatically increase your bid up to your max, but only if another bidder is bidding against you.
Invoicing
If you are successful in your bidding, the credit card associated with your account will be automatically charged. After the auction is completely closed (all items have closed), your invoice will be generated and emailed to you. Please note at this time, we do not accept cash or checks. Certain items may only be payable by wire transfer or cashier’s check (if so, there will be a note in the description of the item).
Pick up!
Using the information in the “Dates and Times” tab of the auction (and also printed on your emailed invoice), pick up your won item(s) during the pick up period. Please note that due to the volume of consignments coming through our doors each day, we are not able to store items past the scheduled pick up period.
